Go for a walk in the mountains

One of the virtues of our island is that very diverse landscapes are concentrated in a relatively small space. For keen hikers, there are two very attractive mountainous areas ideal for walking. The nearest to Son Alegre is the Llevant range, which is mostly within the Llevant Natural Park. Nearby there are two interesting villages that are well worth a visit: Artà and Capdepera. The imposing Tramuntana range dominates the island from end to end. In 2010 it was declared World Heritage by UNESCO and it includes routes and places with irresistible charm: Banyalbufar, Valldemossa, Sóller, Lluc, Sa Calobra, Pollença and Formentor are some examples.
